1 Read Now or Let It Go

Often, we come across interesting content online but lack the time to fully engage. The temptation is to save these for later, only to never revisit them. The truth is, if something is genuinely valuable but you can’t act on it immediately, it’s better to let it go. You’ll likely come across it again when you really need it. Avoid overloading your brain with a clutter of ‘to-read-later’ items.

2 Act or Plan, Don’t Just Leave It

Issues and challenges won’t solve themselves and delaying action only leads to future complications. Tackle them now or create a plan to address them later. Ignoring them isn’t a solution.

3 If It’s Ignored, It’s Not a Problem

If you choose to live with an issue without addressing it, then perhaps it’s not as significant as you thought. Once you decide to let something be, stop dwelling on it. Continually thinking about an unresolved issue, even when you choose inaction, is counterproductive.

4 Worrying About the Unhappened is Futile

Worrying about potential problems only causes unnecessary stress. If something is destined to happen, worrying in advance means you suffer twice. If it doesn’t happen, you’ve worried for nothing. Should a problem arise, refer back to principles 2 and 3.

5 Quality Over Quantity (in Shopping)

In my youth, I spent considerable time hunting for bargains, not considering the value of my time. As I’ve grown, I’ve learned the importance of investing in quality, even if it’s more expensive. Particularly in activities like triathlon, top-tier gear can enhance your experience significantly, offering more than just material value.

6 Declutter Regularly

Getting rid of items you haven’t used in over a year can be incredibly satisfying. Holding onto things ‘just in case’ often leads to unnecessary clutter. Clearing them out makes room for new experiences and memories.

If you haven’t used certain items for a while, it’s time to consider decluttering. For things like clothes, shoes, and accessories, set a timeline: if they haven’t been used in 3, 6, or 12 months, depending on the item type, it might be best to let them go.

7 Life as an Array of Experiences

I don’t adhere to any specific religion; you might say I’m an agnostic. But I do believe that life is fundamentally about experiences. Whether good or bad, every event, every action is an opportunity to experience and grow. Eventually, all these moments become part of your life’s tapestry, fleeting yet significant.
